I assume one of these scripts was what would finally become "The Countess of Hong Kong"? That film could have been great if it HAD been made in the 30's - not 30 years later.

DeleteOh if only he made 3 pictures in 2 years and produced/directed Paulette in a starring role.
ReplyDeleteHe was so intent on making a film starring Paulette. It's a shame it never happened. He seemed to lose interest in so many projects around this time.
DeleteHer career may have truned out very different if Chaplin had stuck with his plans. But who knows.
