He actually made Arbuckle and Campbell look svelte:) Charlie did not seem to use him a lot to good effect, he has such a baby face would probably be difficult to make him the heavie (pardon the pun:) that he was looking to replace Eric with.
I think he died in his late 30's no doubt probably due to his weight.
