Chaplin's cameo in King Vidor's Show People (1928)

Note when the intertitle says "Who's the little guy?" that Marion Davies actually mouths "Who's the shrimp?"
You can watch the entire film on TCM on November 18th.

  1. I am an unabashed Marion Davies fan - I feel she is one of the BEST silent film comedians. The Patsy? Saw it in SF at silent film festival and just adored her in that, as well as this one. She's so underrated!

    1. I fell in love with that movie when I saw it. She was great in it and laugh-out-loud funny. Show People is really cute too. Of course, both of these are King Vidor movies and I like just about anything he directed.

  2. Me to!! I can't tell you how many people I've introduced "The Crowd" to - and "Stella Dallas" - what a touch he had.

    1. Oh, both of those are favorites of mine, especially "Stella Dallas." Barbara Stanwyck's performance is incredible--that last scene gets me every time.
