  1. What a sprite. The sexy devil seemed more magnanimous of spirit back then. You can see him teasing Edna about the weight gain. He still handles her faux curls with love though.
I think its the cats ass that Kermit the muppet ended up as the estate mascot when it became Jim Henson studios. He tips his bolero hat the on top of the gateside entrance.

    1. The joke about Edna's weight is terrible. I think Edna was already dead by this time, but if I were her, I would want to punch him from the grave.

    2. I know! Geez Charlie way to be tacky....
And what a high voice he had. I so wish I could hear his cockney.

    3. You guys beat me to it. I listened to it twice because I thought I heard it wrong! How rude!
I agree with you, Charlot, he is a bit of a squeaker. Still, I am curious to know what he sounded like when he was young.

    4. I agree that the joke about Edna was awful and I hope he felt like a jerk later about it. Anyway, I actually don't mind Charlie's voice here. He sounds like he did in Monsieur Verdoux and Limelight which are two of his talkies that I really enjoy. I personally like his voice....but hey that's just me.

    1. Well, Loyal Underwood was one of the few people who was even shorter than Chaplin.
