Chaplin through the years

Illustrated magazine, September 20th, 1952

Most of these dates are a little off. The photo from 1918 was actually taken c. 1910-11 & the photo from 1926 is really 1921. I think 1947 is actually 1952. 1913 should be 1914 and 1916 should be 1915. Yes, I'm a little obsessed with dates.

    1. Sometimes you can tell by their shirt or jacket buttons. Men's clothes always button left over right,

    4. I think Phil mentioned the 1926 photo above, but referred to it as the 1920 photo (I believe it's actually from 1921).

    things like that bub me too. i actually shouted a couple of times at the bessy-book for the same reason.

    1. I agree about the Bessy book. A great book, but a tough go for the date-obsessed. The picture placement in that book is very odd as well. Just when you think you're looking at pictures from 1940, there's a picture of Charlie from the 1920s.
