    Max Linder lived next to Charlie for a while and supposedly bought a yellow car with a black chauffeur to be opposite from Chaplin having a black car and Kono as his driver. An off color racial joke to be sure, but Chaplin looked up to Max Linder as the "Professor" and used many of his ideas.
