Chaplin & Gene Tierney at a party at Marion Davies' home, c.1951


Tierney was probably best-known for portraying the title character in Laura (1944), a film whose score (and famous title song) was composed by David Raksin, who was Chaplin's musical assistant on Modern Times (1936)

  1. First, I notice Charlie (of course). Second, I notice the cigarette holder. Lastly, I notice what appears to be HUGE ice cubes in the bowl on the table. How big are the drinks if the ice is that big?

  2. Yes, it almost looks like she put her hand up in that manner to be sure that ring was photographed!
