Mildred Harris in the Three Stooges film MOVIE MANIACS (1936)

Mildred appears around the 10:00 mark as the leading lady. According to IMDB, this was her last credited film appearance.

    Do you know if Mildred's father was around during her marriage to Charlie? I've only ever read things about her mother & I'm curious about her father.

      Hi,
      I wasn't sure about this so had to do a little research. It appears that Mildred's parents divorced when she was a baby. Her father lived in Chicago and Mildred saw him only once during her adult life & that was after her marriage to Chaplin. He was killed in 1924 from injuries he received in a fight with a taxicab driver.

      She went to California when she was 15 she wanted to b a star. Her uncles lived in Linton Indiana, with her aunt and cousins. She was my grandfathers cousin. She was also cousin to the singer Phil Harris.

    Thanks for posting this! She really was quite pretty. It's great to hear her voice. I feel a little sorry for her, having to put up with the Stooges in this, though.
