I found this photo montage fascinating, and a little moving. Imagining Chaplin working on set, and then seeing the modern day location out front at the studio is a great way to remember our hero. Can I ask, was the original taken in colour? It is the first time I have seen a photo of Chaplin in costume in colour. Well done, I love your updates. Keep up the good work. I have learnt so much about Charlie.
Hi, John, Yes, the original was taken in color by Charles Zoller who was one of the pioneers of the autochrome process. And yes, they were the first photos ever taken of Chaplin in color. See others in the series here: http://www.geh.org/ar/celeb/htmlsrc2/chaplin_sum00002.html Thanks so much for kind words and for taking the time to comment. Please come around again. Jessica
