our university library has the collected run of Der Spiegel in bound volumes. they are sitting on the shelf right next to the copy machine. one day i was standing in line and waiting for the guy in front of me to get done with his many copies when out of boredom i pulled a random volume off the shelf and it fell open to reveal this cover.
