This is the launch of David Robinson's fabulous new book on Charlie Chaplin, THE WORLD OF LIMELIGHT, published by the Cineteca di Bologna. David Robinson will make a presentation about the Little Tramp and his new finds, and there will be a few other goodies organised by Bryony Dixon of the BFI and Cecilia Cenciarelli of Cineteca di Bologna.

  1. Paulette looked like she could be anybody's true 'pal'. The scene where she sets the tramps place at a table and his chair goes through the shack's floor when he sits was sweet. She hurriedly moves the table to a spot where the floor won't collapse and reseats him. C'est amore.

    I am glad an old studio like Cineteca is refurbished and up and running again. So many actors had a soft spot for it when it was going to be closed. The Scorcese film 'Nine'was made there with Day-Lewis as the Felini-esque director. I loved seeing him shoot the scenes from his directors chair and getting to see a real live working set.
