Italian newsreel announcing the release of MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Interspersed in the film are images from Chaplin's most recent (up to that time) trip to Italy in September 1957 when he was there to attend the premiere of A King In New York.  He is shown arriving at Ciampino airport in Rome and later being greeted by Dawn Addams, his leading lady in the film. Afterward he traveled on to Naples and the Island of Ischia to attend the premiere.

Chaplin's life story was published 50 years ago this month.
